This Acceptable Use Policy applies to your use of anything that Savage Software Corp, doing business as BoundaryLogic (“BoundaryLogic,” “we,” “us“), makes available, including the BoundaryLogic SaaS platform, websites, and APIs (collectively, the “Services“). This policy outlines the standards of conduct we require on the Services and is designed to protect the integrity of the Services and other users. This policy may change as BoundaryLogic grows and evolves, so please check back regularly for updates and changes.
1. Compliance with Laws and Regulations
You are responsible for using the Services in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including federal, state, and local laws governing land surveying, real property records, and professional licensure, and with BoundaryLogic’s documentation and help pages.
2. Conduct Restrictions
While using the Services, you may not:
- damage, disable, override, interfere with, or circumvent any aspect of the Services (including any safety, integrity, or privacy filters, credit-accounting mechanisms, rate limits, instructions, controls, safeguards, or other mechanisms offered by, as part of, or with the Services);
- interfere with the Services’ operation (for example, by exceeding or trying to exceed load specifications) or anyone else’s use of the Services;
- create multiple free accounts, recycle trial accounts, or otherwise manipulate account registration to obtain AI credits without payment (“credit farming”);
- share account credentials or transfer a seat back and forth between users to avoid paying for the appropriate number of seats — each user account is personal to the user to which it is issued;
- test, penetrate, or scan the Services for security vulnerabilities or limitations without our prior written authorization;
- impersonate anyone or misrepresent your connection with any person or entity;
- use the Services to compete with BoundaryLogic, or copy any ideas, features, functions, or graphics of the Services, including the geometry engine, plotting algorithms, or AI extraction workflows;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code, underlying structure, or algorithms of the Services, including the geometry and closure-calculation engine (except to the extent such a restriction is impermissible under applicable law);
- distribute any unwanted communication (for example, using the Services to send spam);
- use the Services for activities where use or failure of the Services could lead to death, bodily injury, damage to personal property, or environmental damage;
- access or use the Services in a manner intended to avoid incurring fees owed, including AI credit charges;
- act in bad faith;
- scrape, data mine, or, except through the documented partner API with a valid API key, access BoundaryLogic or BoundaryLogic content programmatically;
- use a third party’s content without their permission (for example, upload documents you do not have the right to process); or
- present AI-generated output from the Services as a survey, plat, or other work product of a licensed professional when it is not, or remove disclaimers from exports that identify output as AI-generated and unverified.
3. Content Restrictions
You may not upload or publish to the Services, or use the Services to distribute, create, collect, or publish anything that:
- is fraudulent, false, misleading, or deceptive, including forged, altered, or falsified deeds, plats, or other property records;
- is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, vulgar, or offensive;
- promotes, or is intended to promote, discrimination, bigotry, racism, hatred, harassment, bullying, or harm against any individual or group;
- is violent or threatening or promotes violence or actions that are threatening to any person or entity;
- promotes illegal or harmful activities, goods, or substances;
- is malicious or destructive, such as software viruses, worms, trojan horses, spyware, or any other malicious or destructive software or programs;
- is illegal or solicits conduct that is illegal under laws applicable to you or BoundaryLogic;
- violates the rights of others, including data privacy, confidentiality, and/or intellectual property rights. For clarity, deeds, plats, and legal descriptions obtained from public records are generally appropriate to upload; documents subject to confidentiality restrictions (such as unrecorded agreements or title work product you are not authorized to use) are not;
- is or includes sensitive information subject to regulation or protection under applicable laws beyond what ordinarily appears in recorded real property documents (for example, data relating to race, religion, health, genetics, biometrics, or sexual orientation);
- is or includes patient, medical, or other personal health information (including protected health information under HIPAA);
- is or includes financial account information, including credit and debit card numbers (payment for the Services is handled exclusively through our payment processor);
- is or includes social security numbers or other government identifiers (redact these from uploaded documents where they appear); or
- is or includes protected data about minors (such as data protected by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act).
4. AI-Specific Considerations
The Services use third-party large language model providers to read documents, extract legal descriptions, and structure survey calls. If you use BoundaryLogic’s AI features, you agree to comply with the following third-party provider policies as applicable:
- OpenAI’s Usage Policies;
- Google’s Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy and Acceptable Use Policy
- Anthropic’s Usage Policy.
You may not use the AI features to generate content unrelated to the processing, plotting, and analysis of real property documents and legal descriptions, or attempt to extract, manipulate, or misuse the underlying models through the Services.
AI credits are consumed when the Services attempts to extract legal descriptions with boundary calls from your documents. You may not manipulate documents or requests to circumvent credit accounting.
5. Professional Use Notice
Output generated by the Services — including plotted boundaries, closure calculations, acreage estimates, and exported DXF, Shapefile, GeoJSON, and PDF files — is generated by automated AI and geometry processing. It is not a survey, plat, legal opinion, or professional work product. You are responsible for having output reviewed and verified by a licensed land surveyor or other qualified professional before relying on it for boundary determination, conveyance, construction, or any legal purpose. You may not remove, obscure, or alter disclaimers that identify output as AI-generated.
6. Copyright and IP
BoundaryLogic respects copyright law and expects its users to do the same. If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, contact us at support@boundarylogic.com.
Enforcement
If you violate this policy or encourage, allow, or assist others to do anything to violate this policy, we will take any action we consider necessary to protect BoundaryLogic, our users, and third parties. This may include quarantining or deleting data stored on the Services, removing any of your content, revoking AI credits obtained in violation of this policy, or suspending or terminating your use of or access to the Services. Violation of this policy may result in termination in accordance with our termination rights in our agreement with you. You will not be entitled to any credit or other compensation for any interruption of the Services caused by your violation of this policy.
