Run the team, control the spend, and deliver under your name.
Expert adds the parts of Trace that stop being about one plot and start being about a practice: the whole team's work in one view, a shared way of filing it and client-ready shares that carry your title block.
What changes when the team is on Expert
Three shifts: you can see the work, you decide who touches it, and the spend sits in one place.
See the whole team's work, filed the same way
The team-wide projects view puts every team project on one screen instead of leaving it spread across individual accounts. Categories are the team standard taxonomy: admins and owners create and manage them, members apply them, so two people filing the same kind of job file it the same way.
Decide who can open, edit, and archive
Every team has exactly one owner, plus admins and members. Admins manage the team on every tier, and at Expert they gain the team-project powers: opening and editing any project, setting status, archiving, exporting, managing categories and shares, and running reports. Members can be granted per-project view and edit permissions, both off by default. Admins archive rather than delete, and deleting stays with the project owner.
Share the result under your name, and bill it once
A shared project link gives a client a read-only interactive version of the project with no account and no sign-in wall: map modes including sheet view, label toggles, layers as you left them in manage layers, and an openable call table. It carries your custom title block and logo alongside a "Powered by BoundaryLogic Trace" footer and a "Create your free account" call to action. Links can be copied, revoked, and regenerated, and a revoked link tells the visitor it is no longer active. Billing sits with the admin, and credits are pooled across the team.

Teams, answered
Do we need a team, or can I work alone?
Everyone works in a team, even a team of one. Billing is per team, and there are no separate personal accounts or personal spaces.
What are the roles?
Exactly one owner per team, plus admins and members. Guests are not accounts: they are unauthenticated, read-only viewers of a shared project link.
Can a member see another member's projects?
Not by default. Members work their own projects. On Expert, an admin or owner can grant a member view and edit permissions on a team project, and both start off.
Can an admin delete a project?
No. Admins archive. Deleting stays with the project owner on every tier, so an admin cannot remove someone else’s work.
What can a client do with a shared link?
View, not edit. They can switch map modes including sheet view, toggle labels, see layers as your manage layers state left them, and open the call table. There are no edits, no exports, and no sign-in wall.
Can we turn a share link off?
Yes. Links can be copied, revoked, and regenerated. A revoked link shows the visitor that the share link is no longer active.
How do credits work across a team?
Credits are pooled at the team level, so any seat can draw from the shared balance. Only AI Automated Plotting consumes credits.
What happens if we downgrade?
Nothing is destroyed. Categories go read-only, share links deactivate, and the team-wide view turns off. Re-upgrading restores them.
Does Enterprise add more branding?
No. Custom PDF title blocks and logos are the Expert feature and carry up unchanged. Enterprise adds SSO enforcement, a dedicated rep, priority support, custom integration, and one billing account across Trace, API, and BPS.
