DeedPlotter AI is now BoundaryLogic Trace, and 3.0.0 is the largest release we’ve ever shipped: a new name, a new design, a new pricing model, and the deepest feature set since 2.0.
A New Name
The platform outgrew its old name. It takes in deeds, easements, and land records of every kind, extracts the metes and bounds and aliquot legal descriptions inside them, plots each tract, and shows the math on every plot. That is boundary logic, and now that is the name. BoundaryLogic is the company. BoundaryLogic Trace is the application. Same team, same engine, new home at app.boundarylogic.com. Old links redirect, and the full story is on our About page.
Signing in from the old product? DeedPlotter AI is now BoundaryLogic Trace covers where to sign in, what happened to your projects, and what stayed free.
What’s New?
The Manual Plotter
Plot without a document. Start from a blank canvas and type calls directly: bearings, distances, and curves in a call table that draws the plot as you type. Manual plots get the same Verifications as AI plots: closure, precision, area, perimeter, and remainder on every plot. Manual plotting is free forever, no limits.
Check out the Syntax Reference to learn the exact call formats.
Projects, Rebuilt
The projects page is now a working surface, not a just a list. Statuses, favoriting, search, filters, and sorting are built in. Personal labels arrive on Professional, team categories on Expert. Admins archive instead of delete, so nothing disappears by accident. Expert admins also get a team-wide view of every project.
Image Overlay Layers
Upload a plat, aerial, or survey scan and place it as a layer alongside your plot. Move, scale, rotate, set opacity, lock, and reorder it with your tract layers. Overlays render in the map workspace, sheet view, the plotting canvas, and shared links. Available on Professional and above.
Sheet View
The DXF View is now Sheet View, and it earned the new name. Sheet View puts every active document and tract in the project on one drawing canvas, with a grid background and label toggles: inspect the sheet, then export a DXF that matches. Available on every tier, including Free.
Variable Width Easements
Centerline easement plotting arrived in 2.4.0. In 3.0.0, easements become first-class layers. Plot fixed and variable width corridors from a document or by hand and overlay them on the parent tract. The corridor report breaks down width segment by segment. Easement layers carry through every export alongside the parent boundary.
Team Sharing
Team management arrives on Expert: a team-wide projects view, admin-managed categories, per-member view and edit permissions, reports, custom PDF title blocks and logos, and admin billing. Run the team, control the spend, and deliver under your own name.
External Sharing
Share a project with someone who has no Trace account. Shared links are read-only and fully interactive: map and sheet views, label toggles, layer visibility, and an openable call table, all under your title block and logo. No sign-in wall for the viewer, and you can revoke or regenerate a link at any time. Available on Expert.
A New Pricing Model
One standard rate: $2.00 per AI plot. Commitment and volume earn discounts, and the math is always visible.
Plans
- Professional: $29.99 per seat per month, with 15 AI plots per seat pooled across the team.
- Expert: $49.99 per seat per month, with 25 AI plots per seat pooled.
Need more plots? Two options on Professional and above:
- Add-on pool: $1.80 per plot, prepaid monthly, with up to 3 months of rollover.
- Pay as you go: $3.00 per plot, billed at month end.
The standing rules
- Only AI plotting consumes credits. Manual plotting and exports never do.
- New accounts unlock 10 free AI plots by putting a card on file. No charge is made now.
- Self-service plans bill monthly; annual terms are available on Enterprise. Education and government pricing is 50% off after verification.
The full model is on the pricing page.
