Availability: Expert and Enterprise · Role: owner or admin

Decide which of your members can see the whole team’s projects, and whether they can change them. Access is set once per member and applies to every team project.

Before you start

  • Your team is on Expert or Enterprise. Below that, everyone sees only the projects they created.
  • You are the owner or an admin.

Steps

  1. Go to the Team page.
  2. Find the member in the members table.
  3. In their team project access column, choose No access, Can view, or Can edit. The change saves as soon as you pick.

Owner and admin rows show text here rather than a select, because owners and admins already reach every team project.

What each level gives

Level The member sees The member can
No access Only projects they created Work normally in their own projects. Opening a teammate’s project link gives them an empty workspace, with the toolbar and the project menu but no project data and no message explaining why.
Can view Every project in the team Read a teammate’s project. A view only banner appears, edit panes send them back to the map, and uploading a document is refused.
Can edit Every project in the team Change a teammate’s project, and share it. Sharing follows edit access.

Read only projects carry a View only badge in the projects list and on project cards.

What the team wide view adds

Owners, admins, and members set to Can view or Can edit see every project in the team from the projects list. The list gains an Owner column showing who created each project, and cards show an owner avatar. Outside the team wide view that column does not exist.

Below Expert

The access column is present on every plan but does nothing below Expert. Picking a level opens an upsell instead of applying, and the select snaps back to where it was. Owner and admin rows read No access there, because team wide reach does not exist on those plans: every role, the owner included, sees only their own projects.
