Summary
Project Documents is the project’s full inventory, opened from Project Documents In the project menu. It takes the whole workspace rather than a pane, and it holds two tables behind two tabs: LEGAL DESCRIPTIONS, which lists every description Trace has plotted with its readouts, and DOCUMENTS, which lists the files those descriptions came out of. Close it with the cross at the right of the tab strip to go back to the map.
Usage notes
The legal descriptions table
One row per description, headed Processed Legal Descriptions. A description with no name reads (Unnamed).
| Column | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Legal Description Name | The description’s name, editable from the row menu |
| Document Name | The document it was read out of |
| Closed? (Relative Closure %) | The relative closure figure, colour coded |
| Overlapping (Count) | A count of overlapping calls |
| OCR Pass (Confidence) | How confident the scan was, colour coded |
| Actions | View, Download, and the row menu |
Reading the closure column
The colour is the fast read on closure: darkest green at 98 percent and above, green from 95 to 98, orange from 90 to 95, and red below 90. Use it to spot the description worth opening, not as the verdict. The closure report carries the figures that matter, including linear misclosure and the precision ratio, and it is the one to quote. See the closure report and how closure works.
Reading the OCR column
A green check at 95 percent and above, an amber dash from 90 to 95, a red mark below 90. Low confidence means the scan struggled with the page, so the calls are worth reading against the original before you rely on the plot.
A description you pasted as text shows a dash, with a tooltip saying so. Nothing was scanned, so there is no confidence figure to give.
The overlapping column
This column is not a live check in this release. It shows a count with a check or an error mark, but the count is not yet reading measured geometry, so do not treat a zero as a finding. The checks Trace shows covers the readouts that are, and gaps and overlaps between neighbouring tracts are read off the map.
The documents table
One row per document, headed Documents.
| Column | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Document Name | The document’s name |
| Description | The document’s description, where it has one |
| Document Type | What the AI took the document to be |
| Legal Descriptions | How many descriptions Trace found in it |
| Actions | View, Download, and the layers toggle |
Row actions
| Action | Table | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| View | Both | Returns you to the project map |
| Download | Legal descriptions | Saves that description as a text file |
| Download | Documents | Saves the uploaded original, or every description in the document as one text file when there is no original |
| Add to Layers | Documents | Puts the document’s plots on the map and redraws the project |
| Remove from Layers | Documents | Takes them off again. The same control, switched by whether the document is already placed |
| More then Rename Legal Description | Legal descriptions | Renames the description |
Removing a document from the layers clears the project’s undo history, so undo will not bring the plots back. Add the document again instead.
The layers toggle needs edit access and is greyed out without it. View and Download are open to anyone who can see the project.
Uploading and deleting from the tables
Upload Documents at the top of the documents table opens the file picker without sending you back to Add Document. Files picked here join the same queue and process the same way. See Plot from a document.
With edit access each document row carries a checkbox. Tick one or more and Delete Documents appears; it names how many you are deleting and asks you to confirm. Deleting a document removes its descriptions from the project with it.
Paging
Both tables show 10 rows a page and offer 5, 10 or 25. Both sort on any column except Actions.
