Availability: All plans
Trace runs short tours the first time you reach each one: one on the dashboard, one on the create project wizard, and a longer one through the map workspace. Each runs once. You can bring them all back.
The tours you get
| Tour | Where it runs | What it shows |
|---|---|---|
| Welcome walkthrough | The dashboard, on first sign-in | A welcome card, then a spotlight on New Project. Finishing opens the create project wizard. |
| Create project intro | Step 1 of the create project wizard, on first visit | An overlay introducing the wizard. |
| Full walkthrough | A project’s map workspace | The layer pane, the map controls, and the export paths. |
The welcome walkthrough and the create project intro complete on the account, so they do not fire again for you anywhere.
Restart the workspace tour
- Open any project.
- In the project sidebar, click Help.
- Click Start Full Walkthrough. Trace opens the layer pane and starts the tour there.
Restart every tour
- In the sidebar, click Project Settings. The Default Settings page opens.
- Under Onboarding & Tutorials, click Reset All Tutorials.
- Read the confirmation, which warns the reset cannot be undone, and confirm. The button reads “Resetting…” while it saves.
Every tour and introduction plays again the next time you visit the dashboard and your projects.
Skipping a tour
The welcome walkthrough carries Skip tutorial, Back, and Next. Skipping counts as finishing, so the tour will not return until you reset the tutorials.
